TEACH YOUTH BASEBALL

Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026 · Version 2026-11-04b

For parents, in plain words:

1. Who we are

The TYB Playbook Game and teachyouthbaseball.com are run by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], [MAILING ADDRESS], [PHONE], [SUPPORT EMAIL] ("we," "us"). We are responsible for the information described here. Our Terms of Service also apply.

The game is made for youth baseball players, including children under 13. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC's COPPA Rule.

2. Information about players (children)

What we don't collect from players

Last names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, photos, video, voice recordings, exact (GPS) location, contacts, biometric data or government ID numbers. We don't use advertising IDs, browser fingerprinting, or third-party analytics or ad tools in the game.

Persistent identifiers

The game stores a login code and the player's progress on the device (in the browser's local storage) so the player stays logged in. We use these and the technical information above only to support the internal operation of the game: keeping players logged in, security, preventing abuse, fixing problems and making sure the game works. We don't use them to contact children, to build profiles, for behavioral or targeted advertising, or for marketing.

Who can see a player's information

3. Parental permission and parents' rights

How permission is given. Before a child under 13 plays, a parent or guardian must receive this notice and give permission. [DESCRIBE THE METHOD, e.g. "Coaches give each family our parent notice and permission form; parents return the signed form to the coach, and the coach confirms to us that permission was received before adding the player." / or an online parent consent page.] Coaches agree in our Terms not to add a child without this permission.

Your rights. A parent or guardian can at any time:

Contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] or ask your child's coach. We'll take reasonable steps to confirm you're the child's parent or guardian before sharing or deleting anything, and we'll respond within [30] days. We won't require a child to share more information than the game needs in order to play.

3A. Family Passes (a parent signs up their own child)

When a parent or guardian buys a Family Pass, the parent is the account holder. The parent creates the child's login (first name and a PIN), can see the child's progress on the parent page, and can delete the child's information at any time. Paying with a credit or debit card, which notifies the account holder of the transaction, is how we get the parent's permission for their child to use the game. We collect the same minimal information about the child as described above.

4. Information about coaches, parents and website visitors (adults)

What we collect

How we use it

To provide and secure the Service, manage memberships and renewals, provide support, understand which pages and features are used, improve the Service, and tell coaches about our products, including playbooks, cards and renewals. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. We don't sell or rent your personal information.

5. Cookies and similar technology

The game and coach pages never use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. They store login codes and settings in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in.

Our public website (teachyouthbaseball.com) is for adults. It always counts visits in a basic way on our own server (page, approximate location, device type, the site that linked you). When you first visit, a banner asks whether you're OK with more. If you tap OK, we also store a random visitor ID in your browser to measure which pages help coaches (clicks and scroll depth), and we load Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, which use cookies to measure visits and the results of our ads. If you choose Only necessary, none of that runs. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie choices" link at the bottom of any page. Your choice and any items you were building in the kit builder are kept in your browser's local storage.

6. Who we share information with

We don't sell personal information. We share it only:

We don't share children's information with third parties for their own use, and we don't allow third parties to collect information from children through the game.

7. How long we keep information

We keep children's information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete it securely.

8. How we protect information

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), PINs and passwords stored only in hashed form, account lockouts after repeated wrong tries, pausing networks with many failed logins, staff-only access with separate staff accounts and an activity log, and limits on what we collect in the first place. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

9. Your rights as an adult

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. Email [SUPPORT EMAIL]. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll post any changes here with a new effective date. If we make a material change to how we collect, use or share children's information, we'll notify parents and get new permission where the law requires it. Coaches are asked to accept updated policies when they next log in.
