TEACH YOUTH BASEBALL

Terms of Service

Effective November 4, 2026 · Version 2026-11-04b

The short version. A coach buys a team membership. The membership lasts for the period shown when you buy (usually 12 months). The coach adds players by first name and a PIN, and gets a parent's or guardian's permission before any child under 13 plays. We teach baseball. We don't sell kids' data and we don't show ads. When a membership ends, logins stop after a 14-day grace period until it's renewed. The full terms below are what count.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME, e.g. Teach Youth Baseball LLC] ("Teach Youth Baseball," "TYB," "we," "us"). They cover the TYB Playbook Game (including team-branded versions of it), the coach pages, our websites, and any playbooks, cards and other materials we provide (together, the "Service").

By buying a membership, creating or using a coach account, or letting players use the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are agreeing for a team, league or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization.

2. Who can use the Service

3. Accounts and logins

4. Memberships, fees and renewals

4A. Team kits and other physical products

5. Coach responsibilities (including parental permission)

Because players are children, coaches play an important part in protecting their privacy. As a coach, you agree to:

6. Acceptable use

You and your players agree not to:

7. Our content and your license

The Service, including the game, the plays and diagrams, playbooks, trophy art, text and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. During your Term we give your team a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service to teach and train your team. You may print the coach playbook for your team's own use. All other rights are reserved.

Some trophy emblems use icons from Game Icons (game-icons.net) by Lorc, Delapouite and contributors, licensed under CC BY 3.0. That credit is shown in the game's Trophy Case.

8. Suggestions and feedback

If you or your players send ideas through the Ideas Box or Suggestion Box, you let us use them to improve the Service, without owing you anything. Please don't include personal information in suggestions.

9. Teaching aid only; safety

The Service teaches defensive positioning and decision-making. It doesn't replace qualified coaching, adult supervision, safe equipment or your league's rules. Baseball is a physical sport with a risk of injury. You're responsible for how plays are practiced on the field and for following your league's rules, which may differ from the plays shown.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features and plays. If we make a change that takes away a major part of what you paid for during your Term, contact us and we'll work out a fair fix, which may include a partial refund.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights parents and coaches have. It is part of these Terms.

12. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms, misuses the Service or puts children's safety or privacy at risk. When access ends for non-payment or expiry, the grace period in section 4 applies. When we end access for a serious breach, we may do so right away. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example 7, 13, 14, 15 and 16) continue after access ends.

13. Disclaimers

EXCEPT AS STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT USING IT WILL IMPROVE ANY PLAYER'S OR TEAM'S RESULTS.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

15. Indemnity

If you are a coach or organization, you agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms, including adding a player without required parental permission, or from how your team practices or plays.

16. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please contact us first at [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Most issues can be solved quickly. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE] and applicable U.S. federal law. Any dispute that can't be solved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], or in small claims court where eligible.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make important changes we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and coaches will be asked to accept it the next time they log in. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and contact us about any unused part of your Term.
